I know I'm a little early....but I wanted to share how everyone could take a small step to make Halloween inclusive for all the little creatures, superheros, and princesses you will see in October!

I honestly had never heard about this until about a month ago so I wanted to share exactly what this organization does and what you can do to help!
Families all around the world are setting teal pumpkins outside their houses to show that they are a "stop" that offers non-food treats for those who may have allergies to candy or cannot have candy for other reasons. Most of these families still offer candy - it's just a little extra something they can do to help kids in their community!
Below are some ideas to give out this Halloween that are NOT candy (I'll still be passing out candy though as well)
- Pencils

- Erasers
- Necklaces
- Bubbles
- Notepads
- Rings
- Glow sticks
- Stickers
- Bouncy Balls
In order to make this a simple addition to your Halloween I would suggest either printing a sign and hanging it on your door OR getting a plastic pumpkin from the dollar store and spray painting it teal! That way you can have that sitting out on your porch and offer the kiddos "candy or non-food" and leave the decision up to them! non-
If you would like more information please visit the site below and it will have everything you need to be a TEAL PUMPKIN PROJECT supporter! I can't wait to see some teal around town this year! It's important to create a safe and INCLUSIVE Halloween for all of our kiddos!
